Strategic Planning for Maximum Results

"Then it shall come about when the LORD your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you, great and splendid cities which you did not build, and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn cisterns which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you eat and are satisfied,…Deuteronomy 6:10-11

This is the picture of a takeover.  God himself promised his people that he would turn whole "cities" over to them, so I asked him, "Father, show me how to take my city." All the great biblical warriors did just that in order to obtain the victory.

First:

Have a definite goal in mind as to what you wish to accomplish.

What problem in your city do you want to be a solution for? - Eradicate Poverty in my city (define the poorest neighborhood) What are its issues?


Who are the people, groups and resources needed to accomplish your goal?

Where do you find them?

How can you engage them?



Second:

Connect with those (women) who are like-minded, who want what you want and who want it now. Do not spend valuable time trying to "convert" minds to your way of thinking. Unite with those who are already on the same page. Women are the moving force behind significant change in any society. Why has it been said, "Behind every great man, there is a great woman"? Because, its true. Women are the incubators (womb) and birth-ers of "VISION".




Third:

Assess gifts, talents and abilities of those who have assembled. In other words, what does each woman bring to the table. Consider how Nehemiah built the walls of Jerusalem or how Moses built the Tabernacle in the wilderness. What strategies did each of these use? Take a moment and do the research. You will find many delightful discoveries along the way.



Fourth:

Delegate and Deploy - it is not enough to talk, you must act. Once you see the destination, map out a course to reach it, start your engines, drive and go forward. You cannot make total life changes by sitting in the seat of idleness. Once you know what to do, then do it. You can not go wrong. If you make a mistake, learn from it and continue the journey. You will reach your destination and get the desired results if you just keep moving forward.

It's Time To Flip Your Life Over...

I remember a story in the bible of a woman who had lost a coin in her house. She moved furniture, flipped couch cushions, swept the whole house in search of that one coin. She was diligent and would not rest until the coin was found.

Perhaps you can relate to this story because, like this woman, you have at one time or another lost something valuable somewhere in the house. Even now, you remember flipping the couch cushions and finding lost coins, combs, gum wrappers and everything except what you were looking for. Well, I have a question:




What are you looking for in life? January 2016 has come and is almost gone. Time moved swiftly and many of us were caught staring into space while hopes and dreams passed us by. What about your New Year's resolutions? Maybe you jokingly said, "This year I am going to lose 20 lbs or 50 lbs for that matter." One thing I know is that life doesn't move in the direction you want without a plan and ACTION.





There are three (3) industries for making money online that are trending right now: health, wealth and relationships. All you have to do is decide which one you're going to use to  change your future and get on the fast track to abundant living. I'd like to offer you the chance to look at one such opportunity. Marketing Tip #12 of 12 PRICING IS ALSO BRANDING

How much am I supposed to charge? 

Charge too much and your customers walk away. Charge too little and they consider your product/service cheap. So what do you do to set a price that is fair and profitable in your niche? What you don't want to do is compare your prices to what everyone else is doing in the industry. Everyone else is not you. You are going to set your prices uniquely to who YOU are and what YOU bring to the table. That is why it is essential to set up your "attraction marketing" system that was discussed in our previous post, Marketing tip #11. (see previous post)




Pricing is also a part of your branding. Take my Prophetic Coaching & Consulting Programs for an example. There are hundreds if not thousands of business coaches and consultants in the industry and I dare say, a lot of them are competent. What sets me apart from them is: my coaching is prophetic (I consult God on your behalf); my coaching is tied to a MINGA (unique marketing concept of group efforts for a common cause) and my pricing: PAY WHAT YOU CAN.  I have a number of products in my business that range from FR$$ to $197 up to $497. Not all my coaching programs are MINGAs. 

The bottom line for pricing is charge as much as you feel comfortable charging. Let's say you are a jewelry business. You can brand your product value by charging too little (cheap costume jewelry) or set the bar high with prices that say "not quite real but definitely not a cheap knockoff".

Your product should meet my desire while your pricing teaches me to aspire. 

Exercise:  Take a piece of note paper. Write down what you think your product is worth. Does it make you a little sick in the gut to think of asking that price? If so, go with it. If not, you're selling yourself and your product too cheaply. You should be told at least 3 times that your prices are too high. That's a good sign that you are right in the ball park.  Be affordable, but don't be cheap. You want to create an air of exclusivity, especially when marketing to women. We deserve that much.

Now go out there and serve, not sell. The world is waiting for your particular brand of service.

Marketing Tip #11 of 12 Attraction Marketing

Attraction Marketing is like the flashing neon sign that draws you in or the mannequin in the window that is wearing the "to-die-for" outfit. You've just gotta have it so you stop, go into the store, browse and shop, walking away with the mannequin's outfit. No one chased you down. You chased that outfit down. That, my dears, is attraction marketing.


Attraction marketing taps into a need, want or desire of your chosen audience. People don't want to be sold, they want to be served. And they want to be served with a smile. Most attraction marketing starts with a FREE offer of something of great value and let's face it who doesn't want FREE, right? That FREEBIE gets you in the door to begin conversing with those people and developing a relationship while you continue to add value to them. Eventually, you are going to offer them a paid offer, and because they've been interacting with you, 1/3 of those people will become clients/customers.

So capture a need, want or desire (result of your product/service), give it away (not the cheap stuff) and establish a relationship. Continue to offer value and you will have a customer/client for life who will also open the door to referrals for your brand of business.

Marketing Tip #10 of 12 - Joint Venture (JV)

You don't have to do it alone. In fact, no one ever became great doing it alone. When the awards are handed out, the recipient always has a long list of "thank you's" to make and is often shut down and dragged off the stage by a hook around the neck before they can finish the list. It is the same in the business arena. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Marketing Tip #9 of 12 - Repeat That


I don't know about you, but I don't chew my cabbage twice. Translation: I do not like to keep repeating myself and when I am in a conversation with someone, if they tend to keep repeating the same phrase, I zone out on them. I'm thinking: I heard you the first time.  However, in business and in marketing, repetition is a marvelous tool to get your point ingrained in the subconscious of your prospective clients/customers. Keep repeating your particular "campaign" phrase until your customers are chanting it for you. Use the power of "repetitive phraseology".


Don't think it will work? Just look at all of the election campaigns that go in our society. Barack Obama used "Change"; Donald Trump is using "Let's Make America Great Again."  Each candidate has a "mantra" that they keep repeating to the masses the result that the masses desire. Companies create commercial jingles designed to make an imprint on the subconscious mind which is the true driver of commerce by using repetitive phraseology.

Coca Cola said "It's the Real Thing" so many times, we finally believed it and when they wanted to change the formula, we sent up a ROAR that backed them right back down to the "original".

If you are going to change the minds of the masses, you are going to need to repeat yourself at least 3 times during each encounter. So select a benefit or result that your target market wants and form your advertising posture around repeating that "result" at least three times during that one encounter. Then, the next time, repeat. You don't need a new mantra. You just need to repeat it more often.


 Take note of the next commercial or ad that catches your attention. Notice how many times that same commercial appears during the show you are watching.  You and I are both turned into consumers by the use of repetitive phraseology.

Did you know that it is recommended that you post your product offer in groups at least three times a day for maximum exposure? There is only one group I have joined that allows you more than one (1) business post per day. So I would say, use the groups for networking and getting to know some like-minded people to increase your sphere of influence.

Now that you know it, make full use of it, but promise me you will only use your new found power for good.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

"You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but on the seventh day you must stop working. This gives your ox and your donkey a chance to rest. It also allows your slaves and the foreigners living among you to be refreshed. - Exodus 23:12



Has the Sabbath day become obsolete? Must we always get back to the "grind"? And is that philosophy causing your business to really grow any faster? 

I've been sitting here pondering today. We want all the blessings that God promises (I know I do) but yet we are not willing to adhere to all the stipulations. Now, I don't want to get "religious" here and say that you can "never" do anything on the Sabbath day. Jesus squashed that idea with the Pharisees when he declared, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath". That gave us the liberty to do some tasks considered to be "work" on a Sabbath day and not be put to death. However, I'm beginning to wonder if we haven't taken even that liberty to the extreme. We now boast in our work ethic 24/7. We proudly announce that we will disobey God in this while expecting his continued blessing for our lives and businesses.

What are the benefits of resting? Well, clinically speaking, here are a few benefits listed by the Florida Hospital:

a. Improved Memory - lack of sleep can make it difficult for you to concentrate and retain information. When you sleep, the brain does its thing to improve memory formation.

b. Maintain a healthy weight - sleep and metabolism are controlled by the same area of the brain. Sleep releases hormones that control appetite.

c. Heart health - studies found that C-reactive protein, which is associated with heart attack risk, was higher in people who got six or fewer hours of sleep at night.

d. Reduce stress - sleep and stress have similar affects on your cardiovascular stress. 
Being well rested can reduce stress levels and improve overall health.

Just maybe God was on to something when he instructed man to work six days and rest on the seventh. He even showed us that it could be done by demonstrating it himself. The greatest CREATOR of all worked six days, and on the seventh he rested. There just might be something to it.

Marketing Tip #8 of 12

Leverage defined is: influence or power used to achieve a desired result.

Affiliate marketers give you an advantage over others in the marketplace who are trying to do it alone. The more people you have promoting your products, the easier it gets to reach your targeted customers. Leverage helps you reach beyond your sphere of influence into somebody else's sphere influence. Now, with affiliate marketing, you will have to share the profits of their labor but 50% of sales generated is much better than 100% of no sales at all. There are many platforms to engage affiliate marketers whose only purpose in the business world is to find new products to promote. 
They are out there and they are waiting for your PRODUCT OR SERVICE. These are people who chase after you to help you make more sales. Can you imagine the possibilities? Marketing Tip #7 of 12

"Don't throw good money after bad." 

That's what my mom used to say. I was a very analytical child and still am today. So I would ponder this thought for hours. Even today, when I hear this phrase, I think of mom. The wisdom of this statement is this: Spend your marketing budget on the things that are producing the best results. You will need to pause periodically and evaluate which of your marketing tools is working best for you. Devise a system to keep track of all your marketing efforts and the results. Fine tune what's working and scrap what is not. Simple, right?

















There is no point in doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. There's a word for that: insanity.

Which marketing tool is working best?  Where are the most customers engaging with you? What percentage of those engagements turn into sales? Some analytics are built into your websites and some you will need to customize for yourself.

Keep'em Coming Back For More


Marketing tip #6:

We're back today with another no-brainer marketing tip, right? I mean really, who doesn't know that in order to stay in business, you have got to keep your customers happy. The best advertising  of all times is word-of-mouth advertising. It can also be the worst advertising because marketing experts have discovered that your business's greatest asset is a satisfied customer and that customer is of even more value if it's ... a WOMAN. That's right, because we tell everybody about our shopping experiences.  We tell everything from the greeters (if there are any) to the restrooms to the dressing rooms.

I mean, can you remember a time when you went into a store to make a purchase and the salesperson was rude or had a nasty attitude? My husband used to demand a smile. He would say, " Smile. Make me believe you're glad to take my money!." Most of us women just go home and tell of that awful saleslady who followed us around the whole time, or nobody even came to help me, or we go on about how nice everyone treated us and how much we enjoyed the experience.

Even a problem can be turned into a blessing when we handle Customer Relations correctly. Simply this. Follow the Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated.



Bonus tip: When dealing with an irate or complaining customer, lower the volume of your voice, use words like "I understand why" and  "I can see why you feel" or "Let me see what we can do to fix this problem." And since you are in business for yourself, there is always something you can do to fix the problem. Example: exchange, store credit. something FREE for their trouble, and as a last result, refund the purchase price. 

Just remember this. when a satisfied customer leaves your presence, you have just created a "repeat" customer and you are about to become the talk of the town. She'll tell two friends, and they'll tell two friends, and they'll tell two friends and so on and so on. Come to think of it, since we are in the days of technology and social media, they want just tell 2 friends, they just may tell 2,000! Make it work for you and may the Force be with you.

12 Days Of Marketing Tips

I must apologize. I've left you out and there is no excuse for that.  I didn't mean to do it. So let me make up for it. I have been posting to my training groups on Facebook at least one marketing tip per day. Today is day #5 so I am going to catch you up to date by posting all 5 tips in one post and then tomorrow,

Marketing tip #5: Now we all know that the #5 represents "Grace" and that grace is the unmerited favor of God. However, also know that "grace" is divine enablement to complete a given task. So get out there and serve up "grace" to your clients/customers and walk in the "grace" to do so. God bless your life today!




Marketing tip #4: 

The key to good customer service and recurring sales is through gaining and maintaining a relationship with customers/clients. If you don't have an automated email campaign going, you are working too hard and losing money in the process. 



Marketing tip #3:
Use your website as a marketing tool. In today's age of technology, it is imperative to have a web presence. Your website is a "window" into your world of business. Make sure it speaks to the prospective customer/client and make sure it is conveying the right message.Do you have a website/blog? How do you drive traffic to your site? When visitors come to your site, what makes them want to browse?





Marketing tip #2:

Jesus built a small network of people with BIG influence. Peter, James and John covered the business industry, Matthew covered the government angle, Judas Iscariot and some others covered the "activists for change" arena. Then Saul of Tarsus was added to the mix who covered the "religious rite". All bases covered. Let's play ball! ‪#‎choosewisely‬



Marketing tip #1:

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink - unless he is thirsty. Make sure the people you serve are thirsty for the product or service you offer. When you place your product in front of the people who actually want it, you don't have to SELL; you just SERVE.

MINGA! What is it...

It's amazing! It's a new year and God is doing a new thing, just as he promised he would. During the last year, I encountered a lot of young entrepreneurs who struggled with building their businesses and who are in desperate need of a coach. Yet, their current budgets do not support the prices requested by most of those in the coaching industry.

On December 30, 2015, the Spirit of God spoke this to me. I wrote it down and filed it away. No, actually, I forgot he even said it. Then just 2 days ago in prayer, about 3:00am in the morning, he woke me up and spoke this word to me yet again: Prophetic Coaching and Consulting. The uniqueness of this concept is this: The charge is "whatever the person is able to pay". The way he put it was "for a donation of any size".  That is alright with me because I have been serving others for 30+ years for a donation of any size. This makes my assignment as a "marketplace" apostle much easier.

God doesn't have to fit inside our little boxes of what he should do and how he should do it. If I am yielded to him, then that means that I'll do whatever he says, whenever he says it in the way that he says it. So I present to you my new assignment: PROPHETIC COACHING & CONSULTING 2016.

I've created a program called  the MINGA program to help struggling entrepreneurs get their footing in the marketplace and excel in  2016.  MINGA in a certain South American language means "communal work".  I once heard a story that explained MINGA this way:

"There was once a missionary in a certain South American village who was there to build a school for the children. Because of the terrain, the school was being built up the mountain and he labored daily with a few volunteers to get the work done before the rainy season. This included carrying the building materials up a crooked dirt road. If he could not complete it before the rains came, it would be impossible to complete because the road up the side of the mountain would become impassable. He explained his dilemma to the few men working with him. "Go see the old woman in the hut at the edge of the mountain," they instructed.

Though he was diligent in his pursuit to haul supplies and work faster, the school wasn't going up fast enough, so he came down the mountain and stopped at the hut of the old woman.  He stepped inside the hut and spoke to withered old woman sitting alone amongst her meager belongings. While he was speaking, his heart sank because he could not fathom how she would be able to help. She was old and weak. The volunteers had instructed him that she would know exactly what to do. After he finished pouring out his heart and his fears that the project would not be completed in a timely manner, the old woman stood up and stepped outside the door. 

With a strong voice she spoke one word, "MINGA". She then returned to her resting place in the little one room hut. The missionary was so frustrated and confused. What good had that done? He left the hut broken hearted because he knew all hope was lost of completing the work.

The next day, when he arose to begin the fated work, much to his surprise, there was a line of women volunteers that stretched down the mountain road and into the village. And they just kept coming. He was so excited and encouraged. He hastened to employ every volunteer that arrived. When the work was completed, he asked one of the villagers, "what happened that all these people are here?" The villager explained that when the old Elder spoke the word MINGA, everyone who heard it passed it on and the call traveled to nearby villages. The women had come from miles around and several different villages. The man explained to the missionary, "in our country, when someone has a pressing need, we all come together and work until the need is met and the word for that is MINGA. What do you call it in your country?" he asked. 




The missionary marveled but did not answer because in his country, there was no such concept.
