My name is Sannie. I live in Brooklyn NY.  I have always loved the idea of working from home, and planned to do it when I had children, but it didn’t quite work out that way. With a few failed attempts at selling life insurance, make up, household items, I found Silpada!

I started selling Silpada just over 5 years ago. I was struggling with bills and looking for a way to make an extra income without spending too much time away from my family. Things were getting hectic at work, longer hours and more stress, not more money. I started looking for a second job… An old employee stopped by with a catalog to share with her friends at the office. I didn’t know her and she never approached me. I was probably the only person in the office she didn’t offer the catalog to. Unbeknownst to her, I was a jewelry junkie! Well I didn’t bother to reach out to her, she prejudged me. So I went right online when I got home, and decided to take a look at the jewelry online.

I loved them. I decided right then and there that I wanted to be a rep. I could certainly sell jewelry, why didn’t I think of this before! Well it was a great start, I signed up and with my first month I earned back my investment of $640 and made an extra $200. I continued selling Silpada to supplement my income, it was by no means an income that I could stay at home with my kids but surely helped to pay some bills. The best part was I got the chance to spend time with some amazing women, made new friendships and really enjoyed what I was doing and still do!

Silpada now offers two business opportunities, 1) the traditional rep like me who can host parties, offer hostess benefits, and sponsor representatives for residual income and 2) the new Stylemaker opportunity, which gives someone a chance to earn an income on their own terms. No parties, no sponsoring, just selling casually. I'm excited to offer this to the gal who isn’t interested in home parties but loves the jewelry and referring people to shop. My goal is to help 10 ladies before the end of the quarter to become Stylemakers! Find out more about the jewelry and opportunities with Silpada.

DOUBLE PORTION ANOINTING FOR BUSINESS BRINGS ANOTHER BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY and SHE TAKES IT IN STRIDE

After 7 years of getting my feet wet in direct sales I learned of the MONAT (Mo-nay) opportunity. I wasn’t really looking for another direct sales opportunity. I was busy enough with my family of 5, a full–time job, and my jewelry business, but when I heard of the Founding opportunity, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I remember going to conferences and events, and in so many cases, being 1 of very few people of color. I wanted the chance to make a difference in this new and exciting company.

MONAT is all about healthy hair care. Hair care being the start of so many conversations around me over the last few years, I knew now would be the best time to get involved with something like this. I had not even tried the products yet, and I joined right away. My team and I sold over 15K in my first 3 months! I couldn’t believe what was happening. Within 7 months, I had the first 4 African American Founders on my team!

We offer the opportunity to stylists to have a nest egg for retirement, and cushion the slow days and months. We offer stay at home moms a chance to earn an income working from home, and underemployed the chance to make ends meet. It has been a very rewarding experience thus far, and I’m not stopping until I have Directors enjoying the income and opportunities with MONAT. The products are amazing!

I’ve seen so many people getting their confidence back with MONAT, growing hair in places they haven’t seen it in years; turning limp lifeless hair into beautiful thick hair. I’m excited to be able to offer these products. We are just in our 2nd year of business and still growing! Whether you need healthy hair products or a fresh new opportunity MONAT is a great start.

Sannie Lubin-Holder & MONAT

When I look at a woman like Sannie Lubin-Holder, I think of some of the first Black female entrepreneurs, millionaires like Annie Turnbo Malone and Madam C. J. Walker. Madam C. J. Walker was born Sarah Breedlove. It was out of necessity that the opportunity to create hair care products was born.

An excerpt from an article in Wikipedia reveals this:

Sarah experienced severe dandruff and other scalp ailments. She developed baldness due to these skin disorders and the application of harsh products like lye that were included in soaps used to cleanse the hair.[6][7] Because most Americans lacked indoor plumbing, central heating and electricity, they bathed and washed their hair infrequently. Initially she learned about hair care from her brothers, who owned a barber shop in St. Louis.[6]

Inspired by the model of the National Association of Colored Women, she began to organize her sales agents into local and state clubs. In 1917 she convened her first annual conference of the Madam Walker Beauty Culturists in Philadelphia. Walker’s conference was one of the first nationwide aggregations of women entrepreneurs with over 200 women in attendance. [10]During the convention she gave prizes not only to the women who had sold the most products and brought in the most new sales agents, but also to those who had contributed the most to charity in their communities. She stressed the importance of philanthropy and political engagement.[6] This had a huge impact on expanding her business. She also started her own mail order business to keep up with the booming business, placing her daughter A’Lelia Walker in charge of it. - Wikipedia

Sannie Lubin-Holder seems to be carrying on the honored profession of women entrepreneurs  like Madam C. J. Walker and is now  training women to become "Beauty Culturists" and to learn the art of selling" as did Madam C. J. Walker.  Great job Sannie. You have risen upon the shoulders of Champions and you have not let them down. Like these great women before you, you have shown yourself to be a Champion as well. You are in great company. Millionaire status awaits you.
